Ducks on my doorstep
This morning through my window my dog Abigail and I watched three mallards walk right up to my studio door and set up house while six squirrels played less than ten feet away. Normally, Abigail would go crazy barking over this unsual event but the mother mallard curled up next to the step to nest while the other two stood guard. I think Abigail knew not to disturb this sacred event. She was quiet as a mouse and so was I.
